You both look happy and well.<br /> With the comment above mine I now have “Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona” going through my head!<br /> We don’t really have “snowbirds” in Auckland NZ but we do have lots of people who try to get a little sun in the Pacific Islands or Tropical North Queensland during our rainy winters. Similar idea I guess. I sold large house with pool in the suburbs of Tucson, a few blocks from a national forest, to buy in a more central urban area. A fire came with 1.5 blocks in 2020. Having to pack family heirlooms in the car, and trim trees while Forest Service helicopters with bags of water circled overhead was surreal. Two years later I moved. Even urban areas burned in LA. It was a quiet celebration after spending an entire month in Arizona, soaking up the sun and enjoying endless activity. I spent 12 days with him in Sedona and Mesa, and we are seriously thinking of becoming snow birds since the gloom and chill of Seattle winter weather is becoming more difficult to tolerate.
