Thanks Angie-- that is awesome! I am actually interested in possibly trying my first pair of premium denim jeans, but I live in jeans and will soon need to replace 3 of my 4 pairs (and possibly add a pair or two more) and can't afford to replace them all with premium denim. Plus, I do need a few pair of jeans for rough work days, and weekend days where I might abrade my jeans sitting or scooting across a rock. Good to know.

Sorry to get to this thread late.

Elly, I take almost all my clients who are not interested in premium denim to the Gap for jeans. That should answer your question

Thanks ladies-- I will check GAP out more thoroughly for bottoms when I am in Tucson or Phoenix in the near future. I usually skip them because I have to order online for a 34 or 36 anyway, but sounds like they are worth a try.

I have a friend who loves the tees, so I'm hoping to try them since it isn't often you find a slim tee in a tall.

No one has tried on the shirt or jacket or sweater? I know cord isn't popular, but I do wear jeans a lot and love the color--- it might attract too much lint though.

Your pieces look great, I think the jacket is a nice unexpected color. love their perfect khakis I have gray in average (32") and long (34"), navy, rose, and sand. The perfect khaki comes with a tall inseam as well (36"). I like how it's fitted through the hip and goes straight to the floor from about mid thigh. Here is the link:

http://www.gap.com/browse/prod.....=883470002

I am only average height (5'5") but I have long legs and a high waist so a 32" inseam (average) looks like I am waiting on the flood when paired with platform wedges but is perfect with flats and 1" heels. The 34" Inseam is long on me with bare feet, but it gives a nice stovepipe look when I wear platform wedges or heels.

There is a minor bit of shrink when you wash as with all cottons. So when ordered additional pairs (navy sand, rose, and gray again) I ordered the long so I could wear them with high platform heels if I wanted, and I don't have to worry that they'll be too short.

The photo is of me wearing my navy pair with the long inseam.

I have two pairs of jeans that I'm really happy with. I thought that chambray shirt looked good but the size that fit my shoulders/upper back was ridiculously bagger lower down. This is not uncommon for me though.

I also have one striped tee which was a decent quality.

Bottoms are good, woven tops are iffy and I never try their knits.

I have a pair of the perfect bootcuts and I love them. They can go a few wears without needing a wash and they loosen as I wear them, but it turns into a nice slouchy look. I'm more pear shaped, but I don't feel like that accentuate my hips. I hope that makes sense. :)

I haven't tried nay of the tops you have links for. If you have a gap near near you, I'd go to the store and see how they feel. With me, some of the tops have been hit or miss.

I was wondering how happy you ladies have been with GAP purchases quality and style-wise lately? Fall/Winter is my dominant shopping season and I've spotted some things at GAP that are calling my name, but often have to order online because Talls fit me best.

I'm also working with a lady who is a fan of the GAP perfect bootcut jeans and likes the quality and has been happy that they don't bag out. I have to say they look great on her (she is also a tall hourglass, but less pronounced than I am), so I'd love the YLF opinion on those jeans.

I'm thinking about these pieces:

http://www.gap.com/browse/prod.....=252484092

I also would love to hear about anything else I need to check out.
