The petite measures 20" long, the regular 21". Works for me, but I'm only 5'1 1/2" tall.

I don't think the knit seamed skirt it available ATM...instead it's this cotton one. Nice to hear a review, though...I had be thinking about getting one but I'm concerned that it's too short for work!

Hi Claire -

I haven't tried the seamed pencil style yet. These stretch cotton ones were calling to me because of the colors. I had a turquoise regular 6 altered a while back and it came out great so I don't mind doing it on the red as well. I wouldn't do it on a basic neutral color because those can be found at Ann Taylor, which fits me perfectly.

That's too bad. Do the regular "Seamed Halogen Pencil" skirts work for you? You might just have too much difference between your waist and hips to make altering that style worthwhile.

I received the red Hologen cotton stretch skirt from Nordstrom's yesterday. The color is great - a bit orangy red, but still red. I thought that perhaps the 6 petite would fit better than the 6 regular and I wouldn't have to have the waist taken in, but no luck. It's a tad bit smaller, but still doesn't sit on my waist correctly. I will have it altered because I really want a red skirt and with my waist to hip ratio waists have to be taken in more often than not, so I'm used to adding the alteration fee to my purchases.
