If you look at the "Discussions" of the skirt on Nordstrom's site, you'll see that someone has successfully washed their skirt... but I personally wouldn't risk it - the fabric feels too prone to shrink or warp.

What Mary K said. I'll probably dry clean or Dryell because it don't want to take any chance on shrinking. However, a soak and rinse in cold water with mild soap and hang from a skirt hanger or lay flat to dry should be ok.

I haven't laundered mine, either. But, I would be concerned if I hand-washed or washed on delicate that the fabric would be stretched out of shape and the lining would show or it would get lumpy or not lay right.

Do you/have you handwashed other knitted items with linings? I would use that as a guide.

I got nothin'. I am careful with my work clothes -- I hang 'em up the minute I get home, and so far I haven't attempted to either launder or dry clean any of them.

I am considering adding the Halogen Seamed Skirt to my teaching capsule because I love the colors on offer right now. I'm worried, though, about the fabrication and the "dry clean only" instructions. I extremely rarely take things to the cleaners. I use the delicate cycle or handwash lots of things, but I can't see adding the cleaners to my fly-by. Has anyone had luck washing the Halogen skirt at home? If not, I won't even try it.
