When compared with the purple magenta, the red rio seemed to have warmer tones to it. Whatever you buy, it's a wonderful skirt! Funny! My Halogen yellow raisin just arrived from UPS as I was typing this note to you. Weird, or what! It's not bright, but more of a darker red. Good for winter, but not with bright, clear reds . I like it, but would've preferred a brighter color. That said, I've looked for the last 5 years for a red pencil skirt. I decided this might be as close as I get. This was my first Halogen pencil, after reading all about them on here.
