After trying these on again, I decided that they're super cute, but I'm probably going to pass. They're just too similar to the black ponte ankle pants I already have and I'd rather spend my budget on something that gives me more variety. Maybe I'll add a pair if they're around next year, or if my current ones give up the ghost.</p> <p><b>fashiontern</b>, I usually do take pics going the other direction, but there's a dark curtain there and I was afraid the pants wouldn't show up at all against it. This was the lesser of two evils. I am not fussy about waistband type. I prefer the look of standard waistbands, but sometimes need alteration to keep them up. On the other hand, I've had to tighten elastic ones as well. I worried at first, too, because I'm not a legging wearer, but I ended up really liking mine and have ordered a new colour to add to my collection.&nbsp;</p> <p>ETA -- I wore mine as regular pants, with longer and shorter tops. I often wore a long cardigan, though, as you are doing, and occasionally wore a shirtdress as top.&nbsp;</p> <p>These look fantastic on you! I think yours look good on you , and from how you describe you'll be wearing them , they should work well for you. I normally wear a size 18, but these only went up to a 16, and I can sometimes get away with that, so I figured it was worth a shot.</p> <p>I need a second opinion. The 16s are quite comfortable, the waist is good (important, because it isn't elastic), but the thighs fit like leggings on me. Is this fit okay, or should I return?</p> <p>I'm wearing here as I would learn towards styling them over the upcoming season...with a silk tank, long cardigan, (and my work-at-home slippers). Photos 2 and 3&nbsp;lightened in an attempt to show detail.</p>
