The color works with other pieces in my wardrobe but I think the placement of the color is too prominent to work with Angie's blog post about wearing colors that don't love me. I do love the cut and feel though. Another leather jacket wasn't necessarily on my radar but, like I said, I stumbled across this reading threads by Mochi and Suz. The color is the big question - I think I agree that a warmer cognac or camel color might be better than this taupe shade on you. But then again, I don't even know what colors are best on me - I'm returning two tops right now as once I tried them on (thinking I would love them) the color just didn't mesh with my skin tone or something. Angie had commented that the jacket worked well for short necks, apples and bustier shapes.&nbsp; Check two out of three - short neck and tummy.&nbsp; Obviously not busty but thought I'd give it a try.</p> <p>I've never had a leather jacket before (except my Spiegel lemming that hasn't been worn yet) and because of the price&nbsp;really need this to be a 9 or 10 to keep.&nbsp; I like it a lot, but am not sure which size or if the color is good on me. The petite is a closer fit in the shoulders, but not a deal breaker.&nbsp; The sleeves on the regular are too long.</p> <p>By my measurements the petite is basically 1/4 inch smaller than the regular across the back and across the top of the shoulders. Honestly I really can't see a difference in the front length. </p> <p>I'm not one who likes to&nbsp;show my face too often,&nbsp;but&nbsp;have done so here to get opinions on the color.&nbsp; The light was&nbsp;bright today, so maybe&nbsp;not good for evaluating color.&nbsp; The petite is actually just a tad darker than the regular size. The color in 1 is probably the most true to life.</p> <p>It would most likely be worn more often with jeans and slacks.</p> <p>Picture 1 is with what I was wearing yesterday.&nbsp; I just had to try them on as soon as they arrived!<br />Picture 2 is a collage of the petite and regular.
