Wait it out! It might suddenly place itself differently in a more acceptable way. Often happens to me!

What I hate: when I finally get to the hairdresser, my hair is behaving really well and looks all nice. (But I know should I wait another week it would be terrible again).

I have a hairstyle that works with my hair so I don't have to fuss and fight with it. Also, my hair grows fast, so I religously get it cut every 4 weeks. If I go longer than 4 weeks between cuts, it starts doing weird things and looking awful. Every three months, I have highlights put in. This has been an economical way for me to cover my white hairs and looks more natural than an all-over color job.

I have been there oh so many times! Call your regular salon back and let them know when you might be available if there is a cancellation (just in case) if you are at all flexible with time. In the meantime, use some extra product and wait it out. It's not worth the possibility of not getting the cut you want. Chances are, no one notices your "bad hair day" at all

I am with you. It is the reason I have decided to grow my hair out to a medium length. All of a sudden the hair goes from fab to unmanageable. I think this is far more noticeable on short styles.

Don't do anything drastic!!

Yes! I am about two weeks past my normal haircut, and I've been fine....until yesterday. Now I'm itching for a cut.
Resist the urge to head to the mall. Your stylist will know you better if it is a big change you are seeking.

Agree 100% about the two last days. I have a pixie cut and for some reason those last few days before my next appointment my hair seems to grow out of proportion:-)

Good call to wait for your own stylist when you are considering a big change.

Is two weeks in the beginning... and about two days in the end...!

A few days ago I thought I could delay a cut until the end of Feb because what I had going was working so well. Well today and yesterday has had me so frustrated, that if I could see my stylist right now, I would. I am almost tempted to go to the mall and see where I can get a booking today. But then I know I will probably hate what they do and feel awfully guilty when I see MY stylist again. Especially since I am thinking of a big style change.... Aargh!!!
