How funny that we both chose Holmes photos, Ana. I think she definitely has a great mom-on-the-go look, and Patience could keep her hair naturally wavy and it would take no time at all.

Patience, I think a slightly shorter, "flippy" bob would look really nice on you, and also work with your natural wavy texture. I think something along these lines:

This length, but flipped out at the bottom, rather than turned under:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/f.....333312258/

Not quite this short (keep your hair at least a little longer than chin length), but I think you have a similar wavy texture to Meg Ryan:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com.....7b.jpg?v=0

This is the closest to what I am thinking of, but not quite so smooth and sleek. It would be nice if you could let it air dry and maybe just put some pomade in the ends to make them a bit more "piecey". I can't imagine that you would want a cut that you would have to put a lot of time into everyday:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com.....05.jpg?v=0

I like the bangs, I would keep them. Sideswept is very flattering on you.

I agree with Tarzy about the hairthursday.com website. You can easily look through some pictures to get different ideas.

I like your natural hair color. As for the style, I like the bangs and maybe for a change you could grow out your bangs a big and go for a more sideswept look.

Also, how much time do you have to spend on your hair? Since you have thick, wavy hair, you could get lots of layers cut into your hair that would accentuate the waviness. Then you could just a curl product and scrunch your hair dry - either letting it air dry or with the diffuser attachment on the hair dryer.

It seems like Sarah and Ana will be able to give you some personal, one-on-one advice as well. Good luck!

Patience, you have amazing bone structure in your face. I envision you with a one-length chin-length bob. At least somewhere between chin-length and just above shoulders (err on the long side so that when it naturally waves it's not too short). I think this would draw the eye right to your amazing features, yours eyes, your dimples. And it would be easily managed as a mom-on-the-go.... wash and wear, or wash and blow-dry straight (which is quicker with shorter hair).

I definitely think you should keep the bangs, they make a great frame for your pretty eyes.

Patience, I don't know why, but I could picture something like this on you:
http://images.celeb9.com/blog/.....holmes.jpg
It seems to me that you could wash it and let it air dry with a bit of product and it would look natural, but cute and fun. What do you think?
And you could dress it up like this:

You have really beautiful hair. I agree with the suggestion not to do any color if you don't have to. It really can damage your hair, and make it dryer, which is exactly what wavy/curly hair does not need.

I think you would look amazing with slightly shorter hair - you have such a fashionable way of dressing - I think shorter hair would make you look even more stylish (if that's possible) But I think slight layers are the key to wavy/curly hair, to keep it from getting too poufy. Have you ever looked at Whoorl's website? She has such great advice for all types of hair - great styling tips, too.

Hey Patience! I just saw this. I really like your hair the way it is now. It looks great on you and seems to fit your personality and style.
However, if you WANT to try something new, I imagine a shorter bob style could look very cute especially left natural. And I vote to keep the bangs regardless of what you do with the rest.

patience,
you have lovely hair! i like the bangs, so i'd consider keeping them. i could see you totally rock a bob! i like the longer length, but i think chopping off at least a couple inches would look fab and be great for the warmer (and in your case, probably much hotter!) weather.

there's a fun website that i've played around on before - http://www.taaz.com. You can upload an image of yourself and play around with different hairstyles and makeup. Might be worth a try to get an idea of what the end product might look like!

You look great in your Mom on the go outfit.
You hair looks beautiful long as it is. How long has it been since you've had it cut quite short? My hair get much more curly when the weight is taken off of it, I'm wondering if yours would get more curly too.
Any way you wear it is going to be a winner on you, but I whole heartedly agree with Shiny on the color issue.

Patience, I don't really have any useful advice for you. I think your bangs look great and are very flattering. You rock the mom outfit - the jeans fit like a glove and are very flattering. I empathize with your hair situation in the humid weather - as silly as this sounds, this is why I could never move to TX!!! I have wavy thick hair which I blow out every few days and with the right products, I don't have to flat iron very much at all (occasionally in the summer) in the Northeast but when I lived down south, it was a nightmare. The shorter you go, the more work it is to keep it from looking poufy in the humid weather.

I wouldn't begin to advise you on hair cuts, since your hair is a totally different texture and thickness as mine, but I will say one thing: Please don't highlight it!!!!

Your natural color is fantastic and I tend to think highlights on this shade of hair looks unnatural. Save the coloring for when you are older and you need to cover greys . At most, get a glaze to boost the shine - but really you have enough - you don't need it!! It is true that coloring your hair can change the texture (which is great if your hair is fine and not thick), but if you were to color, I would keep it close to your natural color - just one shade darker. Not lighter.

I hope I'm convincing you that you have enviably beautfiul hair color that shouldn't be messed with.

Hmm, how comfortable are you with your stylist? Perhaps you can ask for input about how to make your hair's natural texture work, whether wavy or curly. A good stylist will be able to teach you how to style it and let you try yourself. I wonder if your layers could be cut deeper, so that your hair was a little bit thinned out, and less poofy.

Ana, my appointment is on Tues. but we can still talk about hair on Fri. ;)

I also agree with Maya. My stylist has always told me that the style I have now-- longish hair with long layers is the easiest maintenance for my hair. I just don't know if there's other options. My hair is not curly; it's wavy. The biggest problem is probably just that I'm not a great stylist of my own hair. But if you have any suggestions of how to learn better, that would be good.

You have such a pretty face that I can't really think of anything you couldn't try. I think you would even look cute in super short hair.

I don't think any of us are in a position to tell you to go for a dramatic cut or not. Hair is such a personal thing. It would be like telling you what bra to wear (though that's a lot more personal).

I do think the best thing for any kind of hair is to work with its natural texture, though, so if your hair is naturally curly, maybe you should look into working with that. Since you're lucky enough to have thick hair, I am leaning towards keeping it long. I can't keep my hair much past my shoulders because it's so fine, so I really envy women that can have long, healthy hair. Even though I just cut mine and am pretty happy with it, sometimes I wonder if I should keep it long now, while I'm young and I can, because eventually I will probably have to cut it short anyway. Just a thought.

I am getting my hair cut next week so it's time to move forward and get some feedback. My main question is should I keep it the same, tweak it, or make a major change? If you're suggesting a change of any sort please give ideas and instructions. After six months I am liking with fringe more than without but I am still learning to style them. I know it's a good idea to look for pictures of what I want, but I don't really know what I want-- I just want it to look good. My hair is not fine and it is quite thick. My biggest problem with it is that even if I flat iron it, if I walk outside and it's humid it poofs out. My fringe also tends to curl naturally (not tight curls-- just cowlick). I am really not attached to a particular hairstyle so I'm very openminded to trying whatever. I am considering highlights because my husband would like it but I'll probably wait till right before vacation for that if I decide to go that route.

http://i282.photobucket.com/al.....G_1089.jpg
