Thanks, Marley! I've heard a lot of great things about dry shampoo. I'm very curious to try!

Enjoy Texture Spray.
Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray.
Big and Sexy Powder Play.
Lots of dry shampoos will give you GREAT texture. I sometimes use Oscar Bandi spray or powder.
Bed Head Manipulator.
These products have all worked for me - depending on the length and cut of my hair!

On the cheaper end, my sister likes one made by Garnier. She prefers TIGI Bed Head, I think, but doesn't always want to pay the big bucks.

Thanks, Maya! For my budget, it's a little on the pricey end. But then sometimes the expensive stuff doesn't require you use quite as much.

When I had a haircut that was conducive to this look, I liked Aveda's Defining Whip. It is a whipped wax, so it's not as heavy as other similar products but gave great results anyway.

http://www.aveda.com/product/C.....index.tmpl

However, I don't know if it's that affordable...

QM and Veronica - perhaps I will try those. I have Panteen spray wax and while it does make my hair piecey, it seems to weight it down a little and doesn't give it the texture I want. And with hair as straight and fine as mine is, I don't need it weighed down!

Taylor - I'm getting a trim on Tuesday. I'll see if they carry that or if my stylist has suggestions.

I also own some FX Fiberize Paste but it's so hard that I can't figure out how to use it!

I like Goldwell Unlimitor spray wax (give you texture without looking sticky) or the Goldwell Profiler mousse wax. I like Bed Head manipulator too. I have fine wavy hair in a pixie cut and these are what I use.

Oh, so many great products out there. I am currently loving Sebastians clear paste! A little goes along way.

Each line has a great paste, wax, pomade or whatever they call it, and everyone will chime in with their dream product. You must just really experiment ans see what works best for you:) You will have TONS to choose from:)

Hi all!

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good, affordable texturizer? I have very fine textured, thick, straight hair in a pixie cut. Currently I'm using Got 2 B Playful, which is a great little creme texturizer that gives my hair just the right, well, stickiness I suppose, to hold the look I want.

That said, I can't find it in stores any more! I also read a review of Big Sexy Hair's Powder Play but cannot find that either. Has anyone tried it? What do you think?

Anyone have a product they like?

I generally go for something between these two looks (somewhat depending on how in need of a cut I am) http://tinyurl.com/27qxqgy and http://tinyurl.com/2ey6ave

I know this is Taylor's area of expertise so your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
