Thanks for your comments! Right now I'm leaning towards a combination of these looks:
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JA8_.....les-59.jpg

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JA8_.....allari.png

I like the coloring in the second one, but love the style in the first one. I think I'll go a wee bit shorter (more like the second) on the length.

I like my hair styled with products, etc. I just want a break from a style that requires perfection. I like the piecy look because it seems like it would be easier to do in a hurry. I'm not sure if my stylist uses a razor. I think she's under the impression that I like pretty, soft, smoothe hair. I'm sure she uses one, because her hair is definitely cut with one.

Sarbear, I have a thing about perfect hair myself, I love it on other people but when I leave the salon I run home, jump in the shower to wash out the product and rough up my hair a bit. It sounds as though your the same.

My husbands best friend is a stylist and he prefers to razor my hair to create more texture and a less even line. Is that something your stylist does?

With regards to the amount of blond, I would say that comes down to personal preference and how your feeling on the morning of your cut.

I'm currently in hair hell. My hair is just starting to grow back after falling out after having DD2. I'm too scared to have any colour until I'm confident my hair will survive the process. Don't expect to see anything other than a ponytail from me in the next few months so I will be extremely jealous when you unveil your new look.

Sarah - I'm not great with hairstyles, but I liked all the photos you posted. I think you'd do well with any of them. Sorry that this isn't very helpful.

RoseandJoan, I plan on going more blonde for sure. I do not want to go all-over platinum, but I am not opposed to adding platinum highlights, whether fine or chunky. I'm not 100% sure on that yet.
I think I'll try one of the less "pretty" looks and pick one with more texture. When my hair is cut in a "perfect" style it frustrates me if it won't cooperate. I want something that can be more flexible.

Regarding the cut I think all of the pictures have a similar theme, I think using the pictures your stylist will be able to piece the perfect hairstyle for your bone structure and glasses.

On the other hand from the pictures I'm getting little idea of just how blonde you would like to go?

With regards to the style being age appropriate, if I pop my thumb over the faces of styles you believe to be too young I honestly could not place an age on the style.

Good luck in choosing the cut and I look forward to seeing the results.

Sarah, you are definitely pretty enough to carry off anything you want. I think it depends how much effort you're willing to put in and how well you cope with sideswept bangs. My hair is very similar to Mariska's (I recently cut it and went shorter than before, actually going to post pics soon). It's SUPER easy. I don't have to blowdry if I don't want to (but i usually do just because I hate walking around with wet hair). However, I have straight hair. Sometimes I run my flat iron through it anyway to give more definition to the layers and keep the frizzies at bay. It doesn't take that long since it's so short.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the bangs were ALWAYS in my eye. I am growing them out now. They just drive me absolutely batty. But, obviously not everyone feels the way I do about them. If you think they will work for you, go for it. They look very pretty.

I'm so bad at this Sarah. I agree with San though, I think you could pull them all off. I quite like the cut Mariska is sporting in the first pictures, the one the girl with the glasses is sporting (definitely, glasses should be taken into account) and the one in the photo above that.

I really loved your darker hair colour, but the recent highlights are great too.
There, no help at all;-)

Wow Sarah, I think you could wear any of these styles. You have the type of face structure that looks good with any hairstyle. You've said in the past you've had your hair in many cuts, styles, and colors. I think that is good proof that everything works for you.
I love the hair Marishka has in the picture where she is carrying the little boy. That style, with it a bit shorter in front is a nice change from alot of what we are seeing these days.
In the picture where you say the hair might look to young for you, I disagree, I don't think it looks at all to young for you.
But I vote for the Marisha hair style. Very, very cute.
Did you already have it done? I'm kind of behind on reading posts.

I appreciate you all helping me with my hair last time. I loved how it turned out, although I knew it was a bridge hairstyle and hair color to where I want to be eventually.
My haircut is on Thursday and I want to finalize my thoughts before I go. I found a few styles/colors that appeal to me. I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments!
Thanks.
