The highlights you describe will be subtle, expensive to maintain and expensive to correct if you hate them. But &nbsp;if I do get highlights I want a very dark brown so that it looks as if it does when it catches the light.</p> <p>Also, another issue is that my hair is so dark, sometimes there are blue tinges to it in some pictures. But, I think you should consider going to a salon and asking them about which cut would work. I was thinking of getting dark brown, very subtle highlights in my hair as well as a long side fringe.</p> <p>I've always been skeptical with putting&nbsp;highlights in black hair because I think its very easy to look tacky with black being such a bold and unique colour that is hard to blend with other shades subtly.</p> <p>So I just wanted some advice. I am going back and forth with this decision and right now I'm thinking to just leave it because black hair suits my skin tone (south Asian brown) and I do have black eyebrows.
