I'm sick as a dog -- I was feeling not too hot yesterday morning at the salon, and it's been all downhill since then. Awful cough (the throat tickle kind), achy, sinusy, yuck. I even had to miss a race this morning -- just a 5k fun run, but the first time I've ever bailed on a race.</p> <p>But hubs gave the hair a big thumbs up yesterday, even though I had been sleeping on it. When I'm presentable again, I'll share pics. I talked with my stylist on the phone about it, and he thought it would be a good idea. He explained that over the following weeks it will relax and the curl/wave will come back, but without the frizziness I tend to get. Since I'm about to go on a beach vacation right after Christmas, I thought it might be a good time to try the straight treatment for some low-maintenance hair while we're away. </p> <p>I feel better about embracing the curl when the mood strikes, and it was actually nice to see some of you preferred my hair wavy, but I *think* I'll enjoy having it sleek and straight and shiny for a while -- it will be a little like seeing how the other half lives. </p>
