I did find a couple of what I wore.&nbsp;</p> <p>Wedding was at a hotel outside the city, and ceremony took place out on the beach, but not on the sand. We walked along a boardwalk to a lattice covered enclosure where the ceremony took place. Mid-September and just as we went out, a rain shower hit. The hotel provided us with umbrellas.&nbsp;</p> <p>This was when Havaiana's were popular, and the bride gifted every woman with a pair that we all wore to the ceremony. You can see my dress and the sandals. This was a Komarov dress from Nordstrom. Most of the women wore flowery dresses, mid-calf length.&nbsp;</p> <p>Following the ceremony we had banquet inside the hotel. This was the chicken dance era and everybody danced a lot. The next day, waiting in line to board our cruise ship, a sudden pain hit my heel and calf. Plantar fasciitis back. (Had it before, so knew what to do.)</p> <p>The men wore casual pants, (not jeans) and several wore Hawaiian shirts, but the wedding party wore tuxes. The sandals sound fabulous and I reckon could go with any length of dress from knee length to maxi. I wear mostly flat sandals now also.<br /> For my own daughter’s wedding in the tropics 3 years ago I looked in boutiques both online and in-person but in the end bought a dress that was on sale (not my original intent) and bought sandals and clutch that matched each other plus jewellery that cost more than the dress. New here! I'm 60-plus and am invited to an island destination wedding. My ongoing challenge is my feet. Very limiting. Super narrow heels and a bunion! It's a 5 pm midweek wedding. Supposedly anything goes...but...does it? I do have a pair of very casual metallic flat sandals that I wore to a wedding without suffering last summer. So I'd like to wear those. But what kind of dress? I'm a bit of a pear, but I do have a waist. 5'4, about 125, puny shoulders. I wear a 4 or 6 in a dress. And I can't bear to be hot. That said, it's supposedly quite windy at this destination, so it can't be something I'm going to have to keep tamping down in wind. I'd rather not spend a fortune--ideally $200 or less. With these sandals, I think I need to wear pants or long dress. But I def do NOT want to go the formal gown route. Grateful for any and all suggestions! TIA! </p>
