I have about three or four trench coats, and the KC New York is well-made, and just a little bit more stylish than my other jackets. Love that thing. </p> <p>I don't think you will be disappointed with the brand. </p> <p>Like you, I veer between a large or medium in tops and coats - I have a size large in the KC trench coat and it works well. Never too big, but also not too small either. (my weight tends to fluctuate a bit). The Kenneth Cole New York line is better made and more expensive than the Reaction line. My black wool coat is a Kenneth Cole New York and it is very warm and well made. </p> <p>Anyway, especially if it is the NY line and not Reaction, I think that is a fantastic price!</p> <p>ETA: They are true to size for me. It is hip length and comes with a detachable hood with faux fur around it. It is a medium which is my normal size. It is roomy but not overlarge and I can get a sweater under it. I have had it about 2 years so an older model. It is more similar to the short red one but does not have the waist inner belt. It is fabulous quality, very warm but soft. It does not get much wear because I struggle with brown in my cool tone wardrobe. They are hip-length and mid-thigh length down-filled coats with detachable hoods.</p> <p>They say the list price is $220, and they are selling for $55 and $69 respectively.</p> <p>Does anyone have experience with these coats? Is this a good deal? I am in desperate need of a good coat that actually fits me. And should I get the long or short one?
