I would snap up those gray ones for myself, if I were in the market for sandals. (I seem to have a problem of buying more sandals than I need for the climate where I live!) In the photos, they look to have a slight greenish cast, kind of a sage-gray, which I find very appealing. I was expecting the rubber on the sole to be warmer and darker like a true gum sole, but that beige-y colour rubber would be enough to make me send them back. The grey, on the other hand, looks amazing! I like the black ones, but the one lace up style is not as comfortable, and the ones with the espadrille-ish sole don’t feel as secure on my foot. Side by side was a good way to compare. I just put them on with what I was wearing to WFH today, not styled. I did however hold up various skirts and outfits with these. Most things looked good with either one of them, a few decidedly better with the grey, and a couple looked better with the cream. But I have other sandals that work with the outfits that don’t favor one or the other of these.</p> <p>I am preferring the grey, I’m surprised to say. They seem sportier with the white sole, and a little more statement-y. I think the cool tone works nicely with more of my wardrobe. I am pretty sure I’ll keep them because they’re really comfortable and I like the style a lot.</p> <p>This keeps the option open of adding a white pair if one appeals to me — the fisherman sandals haven’t arrived yet. Either that or updating my chunky black sandals, which are several years old. No rush on that. </p>
