They are pretty cute, and it was helpful to see them in real life to help me decide whether to order them later. </p> <p>I only had a few minutes to try them on in the store, so no socks with me and no insoles. I’ve enjoyed seeing your wiws and reading your year end reflections. </p> <p>We’ve been in the Palm Springs area since Dec. 22 — thankful to have been among the lucky few whose travel plans were not materially affected by recent weather events. </p> <p>Yesterday was the first chance for any real shopping, and even that was quite hurried. </p> <p>I got to try on the Betsey Johnson sneakers in Macey’s, and was convinced I would remember what size I tried in case I decide to order them when I get home. My memory is already fuzzy on that but I think it was the 8.5. A little loose in the heel and with the platform not ideal for lots of walking or dancing, but they had some potential…</p> <p>My score of the day was a pair of black coated Frame jeans on sale at Nordstrom Rack. I had hoped to find shoes but after striking out there I did a bit more looking and found these on a clearance rack (find below). After an additional 60% off the clearance price I paid all of $27 USD for these. I know it’s likely an old style by now, but new to me. </p> <p>I actually count these as a “buy dressy items when you find them” item, as I think these jeans will dress up well. </p> <p>I’m sorry I didn’t discover the rack of jeans until the end of of my time in the store as there were other styles I would have tried. Oh well. These jeans will be another fun experiment. </p> <p>Wore the new Zara sweatpants for the first time last night - out to dinner on a patio in downtown Palm Springs. Loved them!</p> <p>Uncharacteristically cloudy here today so maybe I will convince DH to try another shopping outing this afternoon! </p>
