Glad to hear they are working so well for you! I think of my lace-up sneakers as oxfords and wear them similarly. Maybe that will help you think of ways to wear them.

I love these sneakers. I'm on my second pair. There is a reason they are an Angie top pick! They are a bit on the wide/loose side for my foot but a different insole and no-show socks fixed that problem. I also have a pair of the Ecco 8s which are even wider so I put in a bigger insole. ;)

I'm loving the pair I bought unexpectedly on my recent vacation (slim shoe pickings for size 11 in Canada so I miss no opportunity). Mine are all black as the white sole skews too casual for me; mine look like oxfords but comfort for walking /all day on my feet.

Mine were a HEWI for a black city walking sneaker that works with non casual outfits too. I persuaded M. Abeille they were worth the price because I would wear them for work. And I have already, both times with skirts -- full and knit pencil. Pics attached. Would also wear with midcalf skirts and with pants.

And what everyone says about the comfort and the arch support.

I bought a pair after seeing them as one of Angie’s picks and love them. My Ecco sandals are very comfortable as well, I think Ecco just ‘gets’ my feet.

Great that they are working so well did you!
I have these in black with “ patent” toe cap. I really like them but am struggling. First, I was “ between sizes and went smaller because the larger was too clunky, but I really need a tad more toe- room and they haven’t stretched. I agree with you, the low profile is appealing and makes them more refined- looking , which is what I wanted.
Second, I just can’t seem to like them with skirts or dresses ( for casual) - maybe one skirt I have- so my plan to do sneakers for flats with dress kind of fell flat. And when packing for a recent business trips, I just could not put them in my business casual/ city walking capsule. So not sure whether to cull or keep.

I generally like Eccos, but I bought these sneakers in pink for a vacation in Ireland in August, and decided to leave them at home. I wore them the weekend before and got terrible blisters on the back of my foot so I figured they were a no go for a vacation where I walk about 22K steps per day. Now that I'm back I really need to break them in by wearing them for short periods. I love the way they look, and hope I can get them to work. I think they look great with summer dresses, shorts, and skirts.

Love Eccos! I have those too in white. My feet tend to run a bit wider, but not wide enough to merit specifically ordering shoes with a wide width... but Eccos fit very nicely.

Recently bought these pairs intending to keep only one but ended up hanging on to both since they fit so well (and the customer service team was so kind as to retroactively apply a Labor Day discount to them as I foolishly ordered them right before the holiday weekend).

Wearing the slips-ons today, and one of the pairs will come with me on an upcoming vacation (TBD!).

I am trying but failing to picture a sneaker in classic Frye fashion, lol.

I looked them up. Bootie up top, sneaker on the bottom. Wowzers.

I second your endorsement of these shoes wholeheartedly. I have a metallic quilted pair, and the support is great (I have similar needs in that area). I was thinking the other day that the laces have never once come untied that I can recall. I am thinking of duplicating in another color and texture.

I style mine lots of ways but I think one of the most current would be with midi skirts and dresses.

I have flat feet, low volume, and they want to roll over, which is duck-like and unappealing in a lot of flat shoes. These Soft 7 Ecco sneakers are really cute, and so functional. Let me count the ways.

1. They are designed to support your arch, and this is built into the shoe bed. There is a thin removable leather liner, but that isn't where the arch support comes from, it is structural. My feet are very happy, and there is no roll.

2. The laces are excellent, and different from other laces I've seen. They are fat, oval and have a sheen, and they grab when you move them. A small thing, but important. When you pull the laces tighter, they stay pulled, and that means the pressure is distributed. Tying the shoe at the top isn't creating the pressure that keeps the shoe laced, the actual laces are doing the work. This means the place where the tie is isn't bearing down on the top of your foot.

3. The leather toe cap is well designed. Where it seams with the rest of the shoe is where the shoe would crease naturally with wear. This tells me that these shoes will keep their new look, longer.

4. On, the shoe has a bit of delicacy about it, not unlike a traditional pointy-toe Ked. It doesn't look as clunky as a sneaker can sometimes look. I think part of this is the way it is cut to reveal the ankle.

These come in multiple colors, and the exact shoe, same name, also comes in a men's version. It occurs to me that women with wider feet might look at the men's line.

I bought these shoes with an upcoming vacation in mind, but it is clear to me that they will be my go-to weekend shoe, so I'm extra interested in how to style them so they look like a deliberate fashion move, not just a comfort choice.
