They are black, with a golden-yellow on the inside which is very subtle but seems to perk up my eye color. But - my tribute to Angie was four different strands of pearls. I wore my hair blown out straight (which I love, for a change from my normal curly). I had a silver clutch and black peep toe shoes that started to hurt after just one hour. At the end of the night I was literally hobbling back to the shuttle. The shuttle driver kindly dropped us off right at the parking garage - he was supposed to drop us a block away. I almost kissed him! </p> <p>It was a fun night - the performances were amazing. The Black Eyed Peas had the entire place on their feet, and Pink spinning in the air while she sung was breathtaking. Taylor Swift was adorable and genuine (but a little pitchy, dawg - just keeping it real.) Beyonce just about blew the roof off - she has so much energy and charisma it's unbelievable. We were a bit far back to really see celebrities up close, but the actress Rosanna Arquette walked right past me and she is teeny tiny - a size minus zero.</p> <p>The after-party was crazy and crowded and I did not enjoy it. The lines for food were very long, but once we managed to get some it was delicious. Neo (with an assist from Jamie Fox!) was the entertainment.</p> <p>Women were dressed in every imaginable outfit you could think of. Sophisticated evening gowns, sequined micro-mini dresses, cocktail dresses with Doc Martins, kimonos - anything and everything. There were not very many women in pants, but I felt comfortable and elegant (except for the stupid shoes) and I felt like "me."</p> <p>You see faces more when you watch on TV, but seeing it live was very exciting. I don't think I would go again, though. Too many lines (there were FOUR different security checkpoints, and they took away our camera before we went into the actual ceremony.)
