I have seen them many times on others with bare legs &amp; admired them but maybe they don't work for me. I do have taupe suede booties that I wear with bare legs. I could just wear these with jeans &amp; trousers. Or keep looking for a better boot. I have black booties that do look good with bare legs but they are 3 1/2" stiletto heeled dressy boots. Perhaps she bought them knowing she would only wear them this way. I do believe she has skinny ankles. Those ones in the pic you posted fit the ankle how I would like mine to fit. I guess this means they do exist. I am sick of not finding a bootie with skinny ankles &amp; wide toe box. Not that the Petty is wide but it feels like it will stretch enough. Also they run big so the extra length helps me feel unsquished, even though my little toes have pressure right now, the rest of them can wiggle around a lot. My heel slips a lot too though.
