I confess, all my recent trips to Goodwill have been donations, and I haven’t popped in to see what’s in the store in years. I sort of gave up on thrift shopping because I found so little that suits my style, in my size. This area has a good possibility of some high-end pieces, but they skew more St John and less my style, IYKWIM. If you think about it, certain people with a lot of disposable income do not necessarily care about the relatively small amount of money they can get reselling and actually prefer the idea of giving their things to charity. Thus, and my experience has shown, Goodwill/charity shops get just as good if not better stuff than for-profit resale operations. I was unaware that Poshmark was recently acquired by Naver for 1. 2 billion(!) dollars.
