The gal who runs it tests out lots of different kinds of makeup and then rates them on things like pigmentation, longevity, texture, etc. She also lists dupes for various products. I've found it to be really helpful when I'm considering a larger makeup purchase like an eyeshadow palette.</p> <p><b>efbgen,&nbsp;</b>I love the EWG site and go there often. I'll have to check out the Laundress site. Figured I would just put these sites out for general FYI. Please add to this list so we can all have a place to land for general good reference sites related to forum but not necessarily fashion sites. I access my 2 by google but I’m sure other ways work too.</p> <p>I’m starting with 2 picks ( hope you like them)<br /> EWG- skin deep section- Environmental Working Group site that evaluates and rates makeup and beauty products for safety. Great for USA people highly allergic to most products or wanting to id ingredients in products. Since US is behind Europe in banning some carcinogens this is a great site. raised on lipstick post if you want to see others talking about it. </p> <p>The Laundress- website that sells laundry products but you can get suggestions on how to launder items without buying. These girls started analyzing all sorts of fiber and made products to use on them to cut down on dry cleaning. Have been written up in lots of fashion magazines. Raised on how to clean/ hand washing garments post.</p> <p>Come on and please keep adding your own pick-I am always looking for great reference sites. Thanks </p>
