Now I need to check out Byzantium. Lol. I've most recently read Lawhead's take on the King Arthur stories.

How are you enjoying Byzantium? I am a Lawhead fan from way back and that is my favourite of his, yet I could never persuade anyone else to try it.

Thanks for your replies. Last night I started a Lawhead book, Byzantium, about a 10th century monk sent to take a Book of Kells to Byzantium. Good reviews on writing and historical fiction. I also checked and see that since I last checked a new Elizabeth George mystery has been released, so that will be next. Then I'll check out some of the others you have suggested.

I'm not familiar with Atkinson or Bradley, but they both sound great!

I feel somewhat better today, but was up reading in the middle of the night.

Shameless plug for any mystery by SJ Rozan. I'm not a mystery reader but SJ is an acquaintance of mine and I always recommend her to anyone who loves the mystery genre.

I'll second anything by Elizabeth George and Kate Atkinson, but, if you haven't met eleven-year-old Flavia de Luce yet, I'd recommend The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. A totally enchanting sleuth and chemistry prodigy with a more than passing interest in poison. Throw in a couple of irritating older sisters and dying man in the cucumber patch and you'll have the perfect antidote for a cold. Plus there are sequels just in case you're not better in a day or so.

Ooh, must check out your author. I love mysteries. I love Elizabeth George mysteries and the Jackson Brody series by Kate Atkinson. I would read those when I'm under the weather. Hope that you are feeling better soon!

Hmm, have you read Brandon Sanderson's novels? Or Stephen Lawhead? They have lots on Kindle, I think. Suspenseful but not mystery, though.

Arhgh--I caught a cold from my SIL--haven't had one in ages. I'm going to be recovered before the latest Peter Robinson mystery arrives on my doorstep. I need suggestions for a mystery or a suspense. Nothing heavy--I feel oh so heavy as it is. I think I have another day or two before I'll be out and about.

I have some serious stuff I could read, but head is stuffed cotton. Any idea for a Kindle book?
