I followed Thistle's recent post about watches and found the ideas offered there very helpful. My question is: does anyone have an opinion regarding the finish and durability of the gold toned watch bands? I noticed some reviewer complaints on Amazon regarding the gold finish rubbing off of the Michael Kors watch bands. I did a bit of research and it appears that gold finishing on stainless steel watchbands is very thin on all but the very high end watches. My budget is limited to around $350. I've considered looking for a gold/silver watch to limit the wear and tear on gold finished areas if that would help. Is one brand better than another? I would like to buy a nice watch that will last for several years. Is that possible in my price range? </p>
