You can't go wrong with any color IMO. I would pick the one that works best with what you most wear. Unless this is a bag you are planning to get with a specific one or two outfits, then get the color that goes with those. Otherwise, what would look great with any old thing you throw on and get out the door in? You know best what effect you're trying to achieve, with contrast or matchy or fun whatever. But how an item "reads" IRL does affect whether in one bag and material you might say, gold! and another, pewter!. The darker colors look richer to my eye and more wintry.
