By far the consensus is that #3 and 4 are the best (which is good, because I loved the shape) but I was sure that the colors in #4 weren't going to work on me. And now that Angie's voted for #4 as well I am really re-thinking them. That's a great thing to know. And rest assured that I'm keeping my current pair! I'm just on the search for a potential backup. If I can't find a second pair by the end of the year, I won't be brokenhearted and can use my benefit on contacts.</p> <p>I do like the shape of #3-4 and like the contrast with the black frames, but am thinking more and more when I look at the pictures that black specs are just too dark &amp; heavy for my coloring.</p> <p>I found out that we are changing insurance providers but not plans next year, and that to make administration of the switch easier, our insurance "clock" for yearly benefits like glasses starts over in 2011. This means that even if I get contacts at the end of 2010, I could technically get glasses right away in 2011! (If not, I'll use my $150 vision hardware benefit to buy contacts instead.) I came up with some possibilities at Lenscrafters pictured below. Unfortunately, the lighting in that store is terrible, so the colors and details are difficult to see on the pictures. Additionally, in pictures #1-5 I had no prescription lenses in my eyes, so I couldn't see what I was taking a picture of!</p> <p>1. D&amp;G frames in purple<br /> 3. DViations frames in tortoise.
