I would like to see this jacket paired with denim rather than black slacks...I think it would make it look more current:) FAB!

Try it! I'll bet you can rock it. Gingham is big right now, as are patterned blazers so I say go for it! It fits you like a dream.

HI Celia,
The jacket looks like it fits you very well and I like the contrasting trim. It has potential and as other people have pointed out it is going to depend on how you style it! Even if you have a few doubts try it on with anything and everything. It is surprising how another item of clothing can just make a piece work!

texstyle I guess most of my not feeling Fab ib this has to do with my preconceived notions of how to style a jacket like this.
Adding, as you are saying,a bright top or another print might make a world of diference.

Okay, I'm the odd one out I guess. I'm not feeling the same "love" for this pattern and I"m not sure I like the lapel. It would be okay with a bright colored top under it or bright floral I guess but to me it's only okay. If you don't feel really good when you put it on...

ooooh looks like I will be able to work this jacket without feeling like a old lady :-)
Your suggestions are great. And, of course, I was thinking of taking Angies's directives for the stripped blazers and apply them to this one.

I think it could be fab styled right: left unbuttoned over a trendy colored blouse, (I don't know your best colors) like a citron/lime silk top and some trendy colored and complimentary accessories. For some reason this look/color combo came to mind: http://www.wendyslookbook.com/.....ike-flats/

Not with shoes like this, which wouldn't work with the gingham jacket (but these shoes are killing me, they are so fab). And worn with black or white pants, or dark denim jeans.

You might use it for some fun pattern mixing with a floral or large polkadots. Gingham seems trendy right now, so you could be on the cutting edge wearing it.

Hello YLF,
After the great post this morning and all those great striped blazers I start thinking that I have this one from 2 years ago.
But I need an opinion about this print, is it old fashioned or can I happily wear this as my printed blazer when spring comes?
