Patty - that last idea sounds like a winner! :D

chewyspaghetti - kudos to you on the lace knitting! I have yet to work with lace and i really don't see it happening anytime soon.

How cool- can't wait to see!
I have been knitting up lace scarves lately. I've also done a bunch of dishrags, so I keep one of those in the car so that I always have something to knit on if I have to sit.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo I can't wait to see your results Nicole!!!
I am crafty in my mind--but never really sees the light of day.
I have a long jeans skirt I've wanted to do something with--either dye it a tan colour OR use an old tire with a great tread design and use it as a stamp to run over it with inks to print on it OR find a nice lace pattern at a Goodwill and use it as a withholding matte and spray bleach over it onto the skirt and print the lace onto it OR......
Also want to make a giant paper-mache moose head for my Dad to put on the fence in his back yard.....

Anybody else on here love DIY projects? I've been going crazy(..er?) these past couple days -- knocking out friendship bracelets, knitting up a cotton tote to use as a reusable bag and farmer's market type thing.

And then i discovered this site: http://ispy-diy.blogspot.com/

And started working on the picture below.

I'm really hoping the Balmain inspired pants turn out well, the paint is in the process of drying right now. The bleached look i decided to do shorts instead (whowhatwear.com just did a DYI of this too) and they turned out awesome! Still drying but the bleach is set and i can't wait to distress, possibly stud, and wear! I'll share pics of the finished products!

So, anyone else?
