I confess I had a bit of sticker shock on some of the inaugural outfits, but given that many of the featured young designers are having stock made in the U.S., it does directly support U.S. industry. Bernie is a 100% accurate representation of how people dress for important events in Vermont: prepared for the weather, not for social interaction. :D Like, every wedding or graduation I've ever attended has been rainy and ten degrees colder than it's supposed to be, and we all stand around in our Gore-Tex looking miserable until it seems like it won't be rude to leave. And you're either glad you brought your mittens or regretting that you didn't.   Granted, Bernie and I aren't *real* Vermonters; I'm first generation and he's a flatlander.
