Scarlet on "Gasp!"

Maya, Ah I see, you employ self-control Thanks for your response. I have a similar figure/issues and my weight seems to go first to my bust. I know other women would tell me to be grateful (and to a large degree I am--consider the alternatives), but it's really upsetting when your shirts, dresses, and jackets don't close any more or gape at the bust. In the last year and a half I gained 10 pounds that just stopped clothes fitting me well anymore, meaning it's hard even to buy new things. Suddenly I became a big fan of the volume look I bought a scale so that at least I will start to see if I gain/lose weight. Before I was never really worried and just went by the fit of my clothes. My theory is that if I can lose at least 5 pounds, then I will see when I start to creep back up and can reign myself back, rather than waiting until I am near tears trying to get dressed in the morning.

I would love to shrink to a B Katie.

Scarlet, unlike most people losing weight, I don't have strict guidelines or rules. This works for me since I do not have trouble with portion control or some of the other problems commonly faced by those who are losing weight. I was also never really overweight. The point is that my method works for me but probably won't work for everyone, especially if one needs to lose a substantial amount of weight or needs to learn what a reasonable portion size/calorie intake is. It's not intuitive for everyone.

In short, I eat everything I want, but simply eat less of it. Small changes in my diet were sufficient for a 10-15 pound weight loss. I am vegetarian so my diet is already full of veggies and legumes, and I keep my feet moving whenever possible. I hate exercise for the sake of exercise and I know I will never maintain any kind of workout, so I just try to integrate as much movement as possible in my everyday activities (might be a bit trickier in suburbia but it works for me).

Back to bosoms--I don't think the 5 pounds I have left are going to result in 2 cup sizes lost, but I guess we will see. I just don't like how sensitive my tissue is to even small changes in weight. At 120 pounds I could still theoretically be a healthy weight and very much a normal size (probably a 6) but my chest would probably be creeping into GG or H territory. I'm tiny now but things change and I would like the peace of mind knowing that even if my metabolism changes, I won't have to worry about my chest exploding.

It probably is weight loss related. The main point of losing weight was to make sure my bust didn't get any bigger, so mission accomplished.

Elpgal, one size smaller is not really enough to make me change my mind regarding surgery. I still have all the same problems I did before.

My ideal size is a 32C (before alterations, of course). I'm never going to get there naturally, unless perhaps I decided to starve myself. I might reconsider if I can get down to a 32D, but it's very unlikely. I am just five pounds away from my goal weight, which is the lowest possible healthy weight I can be. That means that a 32E is probably the smallest I can hope to be naturally, and frankly, it isn't small enough. I don't know anyone who is built like me. Usually girls with my bone structure, height, and weight are A's, B's and C's, and with good reason. It is just uncomfortable.

I just went to use a store credit I had at Intimacy, and when the fitter came in to check the fit of a bra I was trying, she told me it was...TOO BIG! She brought out a whole slew of 32E's for me to try and all of them fit. I couldn't believe it! This is the first time in my life I have taken a smaller size rather than a larger one. I am delighted.

Of course I'm NOT delighted that I have to buy new bras, but at least they are smaller and not bigger.
