Haven't ordered from them for years but quality or returns was never a problem for me. I could also return a pillow case after a few months that wasn't holding up in the wash due to a bad seam. (That was a one-off bad quality issue.) In my experience the fit ran big, which is why I stopped ordering from them, but in the mean time things have probably changed.

I ordered some pants once and they were ridiculously small. But I also have a knit tunic that is nice quality, although now I think it makes me look pregnant. I recently donated a black long cardigan that I never wore. I liked the look of it, but the yarn seemed cheap and scratchy. I think it's hit or miss there. Returns were never a problem.

Years ago I ordered sweaters from them and they were very nice quality. I believe their bedding was usually top notch. They also carried a fair amount of Eileen Fisher & Hafflinger - which are better quality.

Hopefully someone has more current exerience. . . but *I* would be comfortable with their merchandise.

Have any of you had any experience purchasing clothing from Garnet Hill? Their catalogues started turning up in my mailbox last fall, and a dress I had my eye on seems to be back in stock in time for their summer clearance sale. Yet I don't think I've ever heard anyone on YLF mention them before. I'd be interested to know if anyone has any experience with their quality, fit, sizing and ease of returns (in case the dress doesn't work out). Thanks in advance...
