I just bought these in the rinse color - http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....=480941012. Also added a pic of me in them in case that helps for actual fit for you. They didn't stretch much at all on me, but I would suggest trying a size down from what you normally wear. I started with the 4, which fit, but then put the size 2 on and they fit even better. I am rarely a 2 (vanity sizing at it's best) I can say for at least the rinse wash, this denim is pretty thick and stretch resistant. I find different denim colors often mean different denim and some stretch more than others. I would also suggest going to the store if you can instead of ordering online and trying on a few pairs in a few different sizes, I imagine I could have tried on other 4's that would have fit tighter, and other 2's that would have been too small...

I've found that it really varies from one pair of Gap jeans to another, within the same style. I've had some that barely stretch out at all (usually the ones I bought too tight : P). And some that don't seem to have a lot of stretch in the fiber and bagged out terribly.

Oh and what modgrl said about the sizing differences. Every single pair fits a little differently.

They frequently have sales, check online for discount codes.

The gap jeggings are better than most as far as tush sag. I bought mine on the tighter side because I was worried about this too, but I am happy with them. The skinny's run tight compared to their other jeans. I bought the long and leans and jeggings in 4P at the same time. The jeggings fit like a 2 and the L&L are very loose and fit more like a 6.

I was *thisclose* to buying a pair of Gap skinnies this weekend (my very first pair--thanks to Angie and everyone here, I now believe that I can wear them and look good!), but I didn't because I've bought Gap denim before and it inevitably bags out (especially in the butt) after a few hours. And then I feel like I've wasted my money.

I know these aren't top-quality premium denim, but since this is my first foray into skinnies I don't want to spend a fortune (though I admit, $70 for Gap jeans feels like a small fortune...).

Has anyone had any experience with either of these brands for skinnies? I know the Gap ones are highly recommended here...Just wondering how much bagging out goes on with them! Thanks.
