If need be, I can size down.</p> <p>In my initial review, I &nbsp;forgot to mention that I ordered another pair of wide leg pants from The Gap, &nbsp;the high rise wide-leg crop jeans in a faded black. Great color. That's about the best I can say about them. The fabric (85% cotton, 15% poly, and 1% Lycra) was super stretchy, which didn't appeal to me, and unlike the chinos, which are more streamlined through the hips, these pretty much flare from just below the beltline. It makes for a blocky look on. The short story—I love them. I ordered both colors, a green and a white, and liked both. The green is not really an olive, but a fresher green, and a really nice spring color. I had sized up to a 12, based on the reviews, but they are big on me. I think they fit true to size and maybe even a little big. The fabric, 98% cotton, with 2% stretch, is great. Though billed as high-waisted they aren't on long torso'ed , long-waisted me. The legs are wider than they appear in the images, but that's fine by me. I like that look, and enjoy the swish of the fabric around my legs. The length was perfect for me right out of the box, and the deep released hem is a great detail. The only quibble I have is the lack of real pockets in the front. They have a small watch pocket, but that's it. I love to shove my hands in the pockets of my pants, so that's a bummer. However, they tick all my other boxes, so I can live with the lack of real front pockets. These are a real winner for me, once I get the right size. I plan on keeping both colors. Right now they are on sale on Gap's website, plus there are coupon codes that further reduce the price. Most sizes are available. </p>
