Wait, I thought returns were free? Anyway just wanted to add that I was buying bootcuts and wanted a loose fit, so the bigger size just fit me, but wasn't the fit I wanted.

Thanks, glory, Sarah and Cathy! I will try the 10 and 12 petite and see how it goes. Gap is kind of frustrating to me because I can never find parities in store. I've got a boat load in my cart and will just have to suffer the returns. Thanks for sharing! I really appreciate it. I will report back.

Yup, size up one or even two sizes, depending on the cut and desired fit. My Gap SBF are 10p and I'm a 28 or 29.

I bought my BF jeans in petite for the very same reasons. They don't work unrolled, but I like them much better rolled than my other BF jeans, because they are more tapered and the "roll" is flatter. I wear a 6P in GAP SBFs. I'm not sure what my regular size would be, but I think I usually wear a 2 in GAP jeans.

Thanks for chiming in. Scarlet, now you have me wondering if I should size up once or perhaps twice. That is so disappointing to not have things fit. I wish the size charts would address these discrepancies.

I didn't know you had to size up. Makes me feel better about the fact that I ordered two sizes and they were both too small!

I thought I had read that somewhere but couldn't find the thread. My SBF's are 8 and I can take them on and off without unbuttoning. I will try the 10P then. Thanks, Una!

I size up. I can wear a 2 or 4 in the regular SBFs, had to size up to 6 in the petites.

Do any of you have experience with the petite sizing on Gap bottoms? I typically buy regular lengths in BF's but would like to have a shorter pair for spring for a less bulky roll on the bottom (I don't want to hem my current pair because I like them full length for fall/winter.) I'm also thinking about trying the Skinny Mini in petite. (The regulars made for a lot of extra fabric when scrunched.) My question is whether it is necessary to size up in petites or go with the normal regular size. TIA.
