What a shame you can't get the petite. They look like a great pair of pants, but clearly not the right fit for you.

You know, as hard as it is for me to find pants in particular, I am realizing how lucky we are here in the US to have the choices we do.

keep looking. You deserve much better fitting pants.

And remember, it is the clothes fault. They don't deserve to be on you if they are not perfect.

There lies your problem. They offer that style in petite in the US, and the rise length is shorter.

I don't think sizing up is the solution -- you'll just get more fabric in the crotch area, and i dont think that will help. It just looks like the cut is not right for you -- a combination of the rise and hip cut that is not playing well with your body. Do you have a relatively short rise? I do, and I see this kind of bunching sometimes too.

I have one more thought on the subject. In order to find the one pair of skinny pants that I own, I did try on no fewer than six pair. I completely disliked the first five for one reason or another, but the sixth pair was golden. I find that with Gap pants, I have to be willing to try on five or six pairs each time to find the one that fits. Time consuming, yes. Worth it, generally yes.

Mary, thanks! I will :)

Jules: I have a pair of the Gap legging jeans that fit pretty well. I actually have a bit of a tummy and a high hip so no idea why the crotch would be so crease-y.

Karie: I guess I will! Hopefully I will find a fab pair

Sizing up might help, but I would keep looking. Every store sells them (my JC Penney has an endless variety, as does Macy's) so you shouldn't have any trouble finding the perfect pair. Good luck!

I actually gave up trying on Gap pants entirely years ago because of a similar issue - the rise always seemed too long (I think??) sometimes with a similar effect. Before kids I had ample hips and thighs but a fairly flat tummy. Is that you? Do you have other Gap pants that work?

I have these pants and really like them a lot. I did not notice a problem with the crotch area, but I am 5' 10".

Never settle. Keep looking. That motto has saved me from making a lot of mistakes.

I don't think these pants are for me. :(

The pros are that they are made of a stretchy, comfy material that isn't too thin/thick and that they fit well in my butt and thighs regiob (or so I think).

The only con? The front view is terrible. The crotch is creasing and it gets worse throughout the day as the pants stretch a bit. They're also a wee bit long but that could obviously be altered!

I'm returning these for sure. Would sizing up/down help the crotch issues?
