That makes perfect sense - if the rise isn't quite long enough, more creasing will result. Duh...

Great observation, Lantana. I never thought about the creasing this way (duhh!). Talls are definitely showing less creasing.

Mona, I think the talls are a better fit for you. The whiskering in the regulars is v shaped but in the talls the creasing is horizontal. I think that suggests you need the longer rise.

Thank you for your input, everyone. I will try them again with different shoes on and see which one works. I actually like regular length better myself. misseve, all my pants pull across the crotch no matter what. I hope this will minimize if i add a belt.

I only like them(any of them ) when they are rolled up.When they are down the fabric sticks too much, imho.

I think the regular length is fine, but they seem to pull a bit across the front. It could be just the way you're standing in the pics.

The regulars in #2/3 seem like they work to me. They look pretty long when unrolled.

Tough call, Mona! It is difficult to see how much length there is on the talls vs. the regulars...looks as if you could go either way, but maybe depends on the footwear? Mine are the regulars FWIW and I can (barely) wear full length but I am not sure what will happen when I wash them. We are about the same height I think? Close, anyway.

So I ordered more pairs of GAP khakis to see which one would fit me better. There are now 6 pairs in my basement. Size 10 was way too big for me as you can see in #1.
#2 & 3 is 8 regular. I can wear either rolled up or down.
#4 & 5 is 8 tall. Again, I want to be able to wear rolled up or down.
So what do you guys think? Which one should I keep?
