Thanks Angie,
I do not know why I cannot find a well fitting premium pair. It would be nice to someday feel the difference. I have exhausted all styles. It seems silly to pay for a pair that does not fit as well as Gap only for the quality of the denim. I think fit is soo imortant. Maybe there will be a pair of premium in the future but for right now I think Gap will have to do- all of my jeans are a bit too baggy.
Maya- I think the fit is the same as designer if you go by the waist size- I am either 24, 25 or 26, depending on the brand in designer. I fit into a O which is a 25 at Gap. I am trying the OO just in case.It is a 24

I cannot work out what this new Gap skinny jeans fit is all about. Just can't generalize about it!

It works for boyish figures like you and me. (I liked the fit on myself actually). It works for petite pretty pears too. But it hasn’t worked for any of my tall hourglass clients, but it’s worked for Shannon. I’m surprised! This style does not have a high rise at all. But you love the way it fits, Jean. That’s the most important thing! I'm glad you are sorted.

From what my clients have said, the style has not bagged out much. But it's 100% NOT premium quality denim. If you're alright with that, it’s a fab little pair of jeans :0)

I was thinking of trying the mid rise ones but as Shannon said, they are gone. I'm curious about the "new" fit. When they say they are redesigned to fit similar to standard designer jeans, what exactly does that mean? Do they run smaller now? I never buy bottoms form the Gap because they never fit me well, but I'm curious about the new fit. When I used to try pants and jeans on I wore a 0 or 2. If they now fit true to size, would I wear a 4?

I have the same jeans, and they really haven't stretched much. I agree that the cut is hugely improved. It's amazing that they fit both of us well, since my hips are far from boyish and I love them too. They must have some genius designers at Gap these days!

I bought some too recently. The mid rise dark skinny. I loved them, but returned them. I wore them around the house for a long time. Did not stretch out in all the wrong places. I was hoping that they would a little. The whiskering in the front never went away, so I assumed they were too small. Wanted to go back and get another pair of the same size, but they are gone gone gone! Even online! I hope that these limited editions come back!

Mine loosen up a bit after wear (like all jeans), but they don't bag out. I really like them!

Hope they work out for you, Jean.

buy them and wear them around the house for the day with the tags still on and see what happens. that's what I have learned to do with jeans.
also, if they are advertizing that they maintain their shape, and don't keep their promise, you have grounds to return in my opinion.

I posted this under shop category but wondered if some of you who have purchased these jeans may not have seen this thread.
I just bought some Gap premium Always Skinny jeans. The fit is perfection. I have tried zillions of brands that have been recommended and none fit as well as these. My boyish hips are loving them. Do they stretch like all other gap jeans or will they really maintain their shape as advertised. Does anyone have experience with the stretch issue on these jeans?? The only premium jeans that fit well are
COH and the ones that are skinny enough are way to low in the back.
I do not want straight legs or bootcuts right now.
Shiny- the UO high waist fit but the waist was so high it was unflattering on my short waist, I need a mid or low rise and high in the back.
