I know this is supposed to be a soothing, calming palette, but so many of those colors sound like they could go with bright orange pants! How are the pants with the Cocomo top or PC coat, maybe with a teal or petroleum top?

Thanks all! The blush color is supposed to be a color that harmonizes the colors of the palm. It's not a color I wear much at all, but its a rare light color that works well on me!

Great planning.

Your palette is pretty similar to mine! I don’t wear salmon but I’m thinking about branching out into dusty pink, which I think is similar.

I stocked up on some essentials last winter in these colours because a lot of them were available. 5 years ago you couldn’t get them anywhere here (except maybe burgundy). Silver lining (or maybe a bronze one!) for 2020.

Your palette sounds so pretty! I've never read Zyla all the way through but I get pretty stymied trying to figure out what my colours would be based on his system. Colouring changes a lot depending on the season and lighting. And the whole "palm of the hand" thing? I just don't know! I feel like I have twenty different shades of pink on my palms, depending on how many dishes I've washed, and none of them is a colour I'd wear. :D

Yep beige is my white for sure! Even off whites like ivory look too contrasty and harsh on me. Beige reads as white but softer.

You are not wrong about the struggle to find desired colors at retail! Both Spicy Autumn and Bronze Autumn sound amazing!! Champagne beige from the lightest color in your hair could be your 'white', no?

Navy and burgundy have fallen completely out of favor for me.

Yummy colors. Runcarla, a few years ago I was motivated to put a version of those colors together by the outfit in a JJill store display. The Sal on was more of a light pinky peach, the brown was a light tan. These were teamed with off-white pants and a floral scarf on a soft white background with flowers and leaves in pink and salmon and tan. A cool complexion could use a bluer light pink, light grey and optic white. The top was one color, the pants another and a long duster-like topper was the third color with the scarf to tie it altogether.
Today I am wearing a version with taupe pants, a floral top with fallish roses in pinks and white with black, tan, mint and olive leaves on an off-white background and an off white alpaca cardigan. With this I used pink loafers and a pink bag. It looks pulled together by the print top. I wish the pinks were more peachy and salmon and rust. The taupe and creamier white give it a fall look.
Suntiger, I love your colors and choices.

I’ve become obsessed by this colour combination, but don’t own anything brown, salmon, or pink!

I remember reading about "Color Your Style" book some time ago. Some ideas were easy enough to use but some I abandoned for the difficulties of finding the right color/hue.
It sounds like a nice project to concentrate the efforts on finding pretty much perfect colors and shades. And limiting the purchases in our challenging times.

The book was "Color Your Style". The theory is that you use colors based on what's found naturally in your coloring, and for different purposes. I won't necessarily go that far!

That said- as with any of these theories, whether it be color or style type, availability can be a problem. Unless we make our own clothes or know a dressmaker, we have to settle for what retail gives us.

Last of my fall winter planning posts- color! I read Zyla's book, and am working on a palette based more or less on those colors as possible.
Essence (harmonizes colors of palm)- muted salmon
Additional skin type colors- cognac and camel
Romantic (pinched fingertip)-cooler burgundy
Dramatic (veins)- teal
Energy (darkest part of iris)- forest green
Tranquil (lightest part of iris)- lighter olive
Additional eye color- cinnamon, cognac (again)
First base (dark ring around pupil)- very dark brownish olive, like the river. Hard to find, especially in formal things so using black
Second base (darkest part of hair)- dark neutral brown
Third base (lightest color in hair)- champagne beige

My brighter colors I want to use strategically going forward- for gear for visibility, festive events like weddings, and festival wear.
Not feeling at all, but still own- navy, hot pink, true purple, true red, grey, white (in accents).

Ombre top and tunic are greener IRL. Salmon top is a little lighter and more muted.
ETA- I seem to be the Spicy Autumn or maybe Bronze Autumn archetype.
