I don't think the body looks too big. I agree with shevia that removing the sleeves could be a bit daunting. What about taking in the sleeves and/or shortening them to get a sleeker look in the arms? (To shorten, you could cut off and reattach the cuffs.)</p> <p>If you do make a vest of it, you could use one to two inches of ribbing from the cuffs to finish the armhole edges. (The armholes are bigger than the wrist opening, but you could put a ribbing seam at the shoulder and at the underarm, and it would look like it's supposed to be that way.)
