Lyn I have her groomed about every 3 months which keeps the curls under control. I do not trim her eye area in between as the hair doesn't get in her way. She does not shed at all and is completely hypoallergenic. For that I think you need as close to a purebred pup as possible. She has the sweetest nature possible. She is about 16 pounds.<br />Janet - those pugs are pugalicious. My girls and I have a special love for pugs. She was named Boots by my kids because originally she did have 4 white paws. </p>
