It sounds like you could use both and get your money's worth for the time you keep boots. Why not start with the Sorels and add work boots on an as needed basis.

Great questions Astrid

The other Aquatalia's I have are booties - Which I find are serviceable in our current light weather conditions - More rainy and wet with no real snow or ice on the grounds. Which is very rare to be this far in the season with no ice or packed snow on the ground. Once it really snows those boots will be of now use getting across the parking lot at work or any place.

Okay -now the way I see it is the black boots would be work boots - I have to dress more smart casual for work - I have really never worn my sorels to work unless it was a blizzard like conditions.

The Sorels are my weekend/play boots - my daughter is on a downhill ski team so I am often at the ski slopes watching her, dropping her off etc. Looking for the Santana's to be the play boots.

Great question though - could I get away with just the Santana's as my winter boot - do I really need both?

Do you want to get both or just one pair? I think the Santana Canada look like a good replacement for your Sorel boots - too clunky to walk in doesn't sound like a good thing. Do you need the others just for the way to work? If yes I'd be curious what other Aquatalias you have and if these might not be duplicating (even if you see them as Ugg/Blondo replacement). And if you change shoes at work in any case couldn't you wear the Santana Canada on days with a lot of snow?

Boy I do really wish YLF had a like button - I read everyday and continue to learn so much. But don't post so much anymore.

I always feel weird posting when I haven't been an active responder.

So on to my question - Still learning so much from YLF and it is time to update my winter boot capsule. These are for true snow days - I have several aquatalia's that work very nicely for rain and light snow.

The old:
I have a pair of uggs that are over 10 years old that really don't serve my purpose anymore they are not waterproof

I also have a pair of Blondo's that are I think 15 years old and are now causing hot spots on my feet - Good traction - but hot spots mean time to go

I also have a pair of Sorel's that are seriously only worn to ski - they are so clunky though that for me they are hard to walk in.

The proposed:
Aquatalia - I see these as the work shoes - to wear to and from work - they have zippers, I'm lazy. Would be the ugg/blondo replacement

The Santana Canada - Would replace the Sorel's and be the weekend boots. Again is a pull on with zipper - I'm lazy.

I think I am seriously overthinking this but as you can read above I keep my boot for a long time - I would much rather spend this money on Fashion boots, yet it the reality is I have to make sure I have an appropriate winter boot capsule.

Thoughts and comments appreciated
