When we first moved to the SF Bay Area we lived in Saratoga and attended many concerts/Shakespeare plays, as well as dinners there--but that was decades ago.&nbsp;</p> <p>In those days it was still Paul Masson Winery and we sat on benches and bleachers with gravel on the ground. What a change since the last time we were there about 15 years ago--changed owners--much enlarged, paved surfaces and stairs, and nice solid seats.&nbsp;</p> <p>Of course, what to wear. Last week it was 95-97° here for several days, Friday it dropped to 70°. It warmed up a bit, but who knew what it would be. I wore a cotton Boden sweater, got out my corduroy Boden blazer, and some heavier jeans. A bit warm for dinner on the upper terrace, but the breeze kicked in and it was chilly in the amphitheater. Our corporate hosts graciously provided us with blankets to keep and all the wine we could drink. DH didn't drink, besides being on a diet, he had to drive on a windy mountain road to and from.&nbsp;</p> <p>When I told my younger sister about it, she accused us of being aging hippies. We're also going to Elton John on Sunday.&nbsp;</p> <p>We had a great time--forgot how many hits these guys had--and the crowd loved them. Mike Love still sounds great, his son is now one of the singers and guitarists, and Brian Johnston sounds pretty good too.</p> <p>#1 On the terrace where we had dinner--our photographer didn't notice our faces were in the shade. I didn't notice my collar was up and my neckline was wrinkled. Oh well.</p> <p>DH has lost 20 lbs since mid-July, so his clothes are big. He hates shopping but it's time.</p> <p>#2-3 our seats and view of the stage.</p> <p>The rest are photos during the concert, and #8 is looking down from the driveway to parking--looking down at Saratoga--we lived down there in the 1980s.</p> <p>We needed those blankets, last one worn as a scarf over the scarf I brought in case it got chilly. </p>
