CarolS, it is bright to me or should I say, colorful. I would rather wear a one piece like a dress or a suit in a bright color. I equally dislike bright on top + black on the bottom and bright +colors. What a great coat and colour! Do you wear charcoal, Irina? Or dark brown? I could see this coat being lovely with those neutrals, too if you don't like it with black.... I know what you mean about not liking to pair brights with black but FWIW I would actually classify this as more of a vibrant neutral than a bright -- therefore making it totally black friendly (well, in my books at least!). LJP, I only wear it a few times a year. And it bothers me that it seems underutilized.  Angie, thanks, I’m much better now and can wear all my shoes now :) Haven’t tried boots, yet. <div>Kkards, thanks. I don’t wear this coat with black, don’t like to combine brights with black in an outfit. Since I only wear this coat with navy, it is a very occasional piece. I LOVE that coat.  Love what little I can see of your hair , too - looks like a really nice length.  I had , a million years ago, a pistachio (good name for it ) coat that I only wore a few times a year, and boy was it a special piece to own. Yes for me as I don’t wear a lot of colors but do have some pieces. This is what I wore today to the office. Cold but sunny outside, felt like wearing something bright. I haven’t worn this cotton coat in Covid years, first time this season. Obviously, this color (I call it pistachio) is not common for my wardrobe but I kind of like to wear it once in a while. I love darts on the sleeves and there are similar darts at the bottom on the back. They give slightly rounded, cocoon shape to the coat.  <div>Looks like shoes don’t exactly work but this is what I have I carried a navy Longchamp bag with my laptop, also not a fashion statement Coat -  cotton from Massimo Dutti Sweater - merino wool, navy from COS Jeans - Levi’s  Sneakers - knitted, black from Cole Haan  </div>
