Thank you for the measurements, Janet. As much as I like the dress, I'd better pass. It would probably not fit me, especially on top.
Someone else is going to want this beauty and look stunning in it.

Waist to hem, it measures approx. 31". Shoulder to waist is a little tricky to measure, but seems to be about 17" pulled straight. Keep in mind, the waist is elasticized, so the top has a slight blouson effect. The degree of blousy-ness in the top will depend on the individual.

The elasticized waist measures approx 28" unstretched, just lying flat. It measures approx. 19" across the back, at the armpit, but again, keep in mind that this is a blousy style, not fitted. I think it could work well for a straighter figure than mine because of the faux wrap style and the elasticized waist. There is a snap at the front at the bustline, and I wore it with a simple black cami, which worked well for filling in the slightly low neckline. The sleeves are a dolman cut (hard to tell with the print in photos) and the fabric is slightly gathered around the neckline, so this is a good dress for emphasizing the shoulders just a little. The dolman cut sleeve also is good for flexibility in fit -- no worrying that the shoulder seams don't line up with the end of one individual's shoulders.

There is a self belt, but I think this would also look great with a wider or narrow belt in black or maybe even metallic, depending on taste and styling preferences.

This dress is gorgeous. I am interested. How long is the dress waist to hem? Across the bust? I avoid wrap dresses but the faux version may work. Does it look like it would work on a small busted rectangle? I would wear a cami under it.
ETA: I see it is a midi dress and am even more interested.

Tina, it may well be alterable. There is elastic in the waist, and the length is certainly simple enough to shorten. Even the shoulders are cut with a sort of dolman type sleeve. Even the sleeve length could be dealt with. The trickiest thing would be the length of the torso. I'm happy to take detailed measurements for you -- just let me know!

I wish I could just instantly lose 10 lbs and make it fit right now.

You're probably right, bummer indeed:(. I hoped with it being a dress it may have more leeway. It is such a beautiful dress and the price is generous on your part. If no one else takes it I might try it and alter it if need be. I will wait and see if any other forum members want it.

Tina, I suspect it might be too big. I'm 5'7" and typically a size 6-8 in dresses (although these days much more on the 8 side of things, unfortunately). I would say if you were closer to a size 4 it would be a better possibility. Bummer!

What a gorgeous dress! I would really like it but am unsure if it would be too big. I'm 5'3" and generally wear a 0 or a 2 regular at Banana Republic. Also, I'm in Canada.

I'm sad to give this up, but it wasn't getting worn over the last two years, and to make matters worse, I bought this after I lost weight, and I've gained back enough that this dress is now a bit too small in the hip. I'm keeping a few things that are too tight in hopes that I'll get rid of some of this excess, but considering this dress didn't get worn a lot anyway, it should go to someone who can get more wear out of it.

It's 100% silk, only worn a couple of times, and a size S, which should fit a size 6, maybe even a 4 if you like a roomier feel. Has a faux wrap neckline and elastic at the sleeve. It's such a great dress. If I don't get a taker here in the next two weeks, it's going to consignment.
