Admittedly, the Frye's are expensive already, but she counts it as payment towards her "time and sanity." The "perfect" LC's I ordered were just too wide in the calf. I hope Angie will chime in about the Western style boot and calf width but think you can wear them less fitted in the calf than other boots. I can't stand that they are listed as narrow calf and yet my pencil legs will not fill the shaft.
