I'm worried. This is the warmest winter in India in the last 5 years. We usually get a bout of rain Dec end-early Jan that gives way to fog and bone-chilling cold days.<br /> However, this year has been super sunny and hence warm. Our daytime temperatures are 24-26deg C! I know what that's like. We've had drought the past four years. So even though we're only 20 minutes from a ski resort we've had virtually no snow these past four years. The El Nino phenomenon mentioned above is changing all that this year. I hope we get enough to fill our reservoirs. It's snowing right now. Actually it's dumping - big fat fluffy flakes. I was scheduled to work in our thrift store this afternoon. I bought some tops for myself from Anthro for Christmas, and a few of them were short- or 3/4-sleeved, and although I can wear them due to the mild weather, I'm just not inspired. We've had hardly any snow, and the temps are still hovering around freezing. Around this time of year, it's not uncommon for there to be a cold snap where it gets to be 30 or 40 degrees below 0 (F)--so this is a big change. I'm not a big winter fan, but I was looking forward to really changing over the wardrobe for the cold weather. End of Dec to Jan beginning is the time it's the coldest here in india....cold winds, bitter chill and persistent fog. </p> <p>Yet this year it continues to be warm and sunny! I haven't worn my favourite coats at all....not even once. You can wear just a long sleeve shirt through the day and pop on a sweatshirt in the evening...and that's it! </p> <p>In anticipation of cold weather, I had packed away all mild weather clothing. And it's frustratingly warm now! Ugh! I've been very uninspired fashion-wise the last 2 weeks. Since I've been traveling, I just wore a lot of skinny jeans, cropped jeans and sweatshirts/sweaters. </p> <p>Hopefully I'll get in the groove now that I'm back. I really really hope I do! </p>
