It was meant to be NZ designed clothing (not necessarily NZ made as the sponsor brand called Kowtow, an overall very sustainable brand that uses no plastic at all, makes many clothes in India). They meant “designer” specifically, usually a named person but some more bridge brands did sneak in there. No-one knew what to expect. I also saw one Australian brand!<br /> I decided to try swapping 2 Sabatini garments, one a chevron wool jacket from 2012 (from Designer Garage Sale back then) and one a lovely bronze sweater from 2015, the jacket I didn’t feel fitted or suited me that well now, 31 wears. I was tired of the bronze after 60 wears. You had to take them to a Kowtow store first and have them checked for condition, then they emailed you tokens.<br /> There was an article about it on the Radio New Zealand website and I am photographed in the queue! <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.rnz.co.nz/life/lifestyle/style/surviving-the-panic-of-fashion-week-s-mass-clothing-swap">https://www.rnz.co.nz/life/lif.....thing-swap</a> <br /> I scored 2 garments, one cobalt top from probably the 2000s as the designer Ashley Fogel stopped his business 2012. And one pretty lace bright orange top from Juliette Hogan. They are both a bit long but I can live with them. I have worn the first outfit already, not the other outfit yet. Pics:<br /> 1. Swapped Ashley Fogel top with new cobalt block buster pants, and ballet flats.<br /> 2/3. Swapped Juliette Hogan top with old soft black pants (2010) and 2021 orange sandals. Orange earrings made by sister-in-law Jo, and Revlon Kiss Me Coral lipstick.<br /> Thanks for looking. </p>
