I just got power back this morning Tuesday which has been out since Friday. There are 800 people left in my area without power but fingers crossed they will have it by noon.<br /> Our neighborhood was hit by the tornado so lots of destruction with many friends out of their homes. I have family in the area. They are okay, but Mom was without power for 24 hrs and Sis and her family are still in the dark. </p> <p>Basic info - 2 tornados went through the area Friday pm around rush hour, hitting the rural south western area and suburban Gatineau., Quebec. Major metropolitan area not in the path. Houses and apartment buildings flattened, but no deaths. A very important transformer destroyed so no power for 70-80, 000 households. </p> <p>Media suggest it will be a couple of days until power restored to all, since transformer un-reparable and must route power through other resources.</p> <p>Krishnidoux? </p>
