Often, they would be wearing a chunky tunic-length sweater on top, or something that provides more coverage than a younger girl would wear. There were plenty of boot-cut pants and jeans too, if skinnies aren't your thing...or dress/skirt with boots.</p> <p>Julie, it was magical. You are so kind. This is pretty much my hair. It's naturally very wavy/curly, and I have a ton of it. A few years ago I decided to quit fighting it, and got it cut with layers that work with the waves. I do stick a few velcro rollers in it after drying while I put on my makeup. That's it.</p> <p>One day in Normandy, we got rained on, and I looked like a curly sheep! :o)</p> <p>Medusa, there were tons of scarves. I would say more than we see here, but we seem to be catching up. Even teenage girls getting off the bus after school had on scarves with their skinny jeans. I've had a week to recover from jet lag and get back to the real world, so here goes...</p> <p>I'm 39, and this was my first trip to Europe. It was amazing! I loved Paris much more than I thought I would. It is a fabulous city! We wished that we could have had more time there. As I've seen Angie mention before, the women that caught my attention in terms of style were not the young chicks. I would see a woman walking down the street, and think, "Wow, what an amazingly stylish, beautiful woman!" Then, I would notice that she was usually over 50. Parisian style seems so effortless. It was also wonderful to see men wallking around in fabulous suits during the work day. People looked so polished and put together.</p> <p>We did see our fair share of women who'd had too many "procedures" done. :o) Just like here, you see a bit of everything. </p> <p>In terms of what women were wearing...lots of skinny jeans with ballet flats or boots, skirts and dressess with boots, boots, boots! There were boots of every height, shape, and color imaginable. I had a great time just checking out everyone's boots! Boots with bare legs, leggings, and tights...everywhere.</p> <p>I found myself wearing my skinny jeans with my cognac Star Ling boots often. Comfortable, good for walking, and I fit right in. I also wore them with my denim pencil skirt and a gray cable sweater, which is out of my comfort zone. I was comfortable and felt pretty stylish. :o)</p> <p>Normandy was like living in a story book. Beautiful homes with window boxes, rolling fields dotted with cows, and lovely people. There was just too much to take in all at once!</p> <p>I have one semi-outfit picture. Please ignore the scowl on my face. I truly was enjoying myself!
