Oh good. For $25 I think I'll give BM a try sometime. I looked them up on Google and found their website and it looked like their make up cost $60-$200 ($60 for a special TV offer and aroudn $200 regular price), but I could have misred that. I guess I'll check out Sephora. Thanks.

I really hate to put a lot of time and effort into wearing make-up. I've bought into Angie's 90 second plan, or whatever she calls it. But I do wear foundation to help cover up acne marks until they fade (and the occasional blemish). In the past, I wore Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, and if you have normal to dry skin, I think it is great. I have also tried Perfectly Real by Clinique and found that to be suitable. Right now I am using a Laura Mercier foundation I bought last august. It is oil free, and I really don't like it much. I can't wear it without primer, and my skin gets so dry in the winter that it is impossible to blend in. I'm thinking of trying Stila's tinted moisturizer next.

That paragraph probably doesn't help much. I have tried many, many types of foundations and have never found one that I love. My suggestions: if you have unblemished "normal" skin, and you want some coverage, I would try Clinique's Perfectly Real. If you really like tinted moisturizers (as I do), Laura Mercier's is top-notch. If you have Super-oily skin and like to have good coverage, I would recommend Laura Mercier's oil free foundation.

I've never tried minerals, but they seem too complicated. I once tried to use a loose powder and it was disastrous. I said never again. Tinted moisturizers are great because they moisturize, protect (with sunscreen), and give you a nice hint of color.

I am also an avid user of BareEscentuals products, I've been using them for about four or five years and absolutely love them. Application is quick and easy. The makeup has never rubbed off on my clothing or bedding and I also don't have problems with it when I work out or fall asleep it in. Plus, its good for your skin. I typically order my products from QVC as you can often find specials and or great combo deals there.

There are several ladies that I work with who I also converted to BE makeup, I definitely suggest that you give it a try!

I am glad this subject has beeen brought up. I never wear foundation and could probably use a little something to help tone my skin. I don't like the look of liquid foundations though, so I think I'll try this Bare Escentuals product. When Shannon said she could get it at Sephora, I remembered there is a Sephora link on the JCPenny website. They have a visual aid to help you determine your skin tone and which color will work best for you. Thanks!

Sarah, I buy my Bare Minerals at Sephora, now that we finally have one here! I started out buying it on Ebay though. You can order it through QVC also. I'm sure there are many more places that I don't know about. It costs $25.00 and lasted forever. I think I might buy it twice a year, maybe three times at the most some years. Everybody is coming out with a mineral powder foundation. I have not tried any of the drugstore brands, but they can't be much different. I'm stuck on my Bare Essentuals Bare Minerals though, so I don't think I will ever try another.

I have had wonderful experiences with Clinique's Perfectly Real foundation and Super Moisture Foundation. I don't like to be able to feel my makeup and have been very pleased with both formulas. I also love Shiseido. I'm Asian so matching my tone can be tricky, but Sheseido is a perfect match. Their formula is silky smooth.

I tried Bare Minerals but it is just not for me. I found that it tended to cake after a few hours and would rub off on my clothes, but I have several friends who love it.

Good luck!

I have very fair, sensitive dry skin and use " Prescriptives Traceless". It's extremely light and acts more like a non-greasy tinted moisturizer then a foundation. I have been using it for years and it has never stained my clothes – not even when I wear a cream turtle neck, which I happen to be wearing today.

I personally love Clinique. It's not as goopy and thick as most of the other foundations I have tired and I don't feel like I look painted with it on. I feel like my skin can still breath. It is liquid foundation though, so I don't use it often because of the time factor.

I've heard of Bare Minerals and would love to give it a try as well. Where did you find it Shannon? And how much does it cost?

I love love love Bare Minerals Powder Foundation. This looks natural, doesn't rub off and can be reapplied as needed. I have very oily skin, but a friend of mine that doesn't loves it too. It is supposed to be good for your skin as well. I can't imagine going back to a liquid after using this. Only takes a second to apply. Just buff and you're off! You could use this even on days when you don't have a lot of time for makeup. Let me know if you decide to try it and what you think.

For days when I have more time to apply makeup (like 5 minutes more, not 30 minutes more), I wonder if anyone has recommendations for good foundation. I'd love something that looks as natural as possible, doesn't get on my clothes, stays smooth throughout the day, and is easy to remove. I know every little about foundations so I'm open to any and all suggestions and advice in this area.
